The Mosaic of Christ: an exhibit of diverse images of Christ sponsored by the Meetinghouse Mosaic organization

Provo, Utah 2024

" Come, follow me "

The piece of art  is a representation of Jesus Christ inviting us to follow him to achieve eternal life. He invites us so that we can make agreements in the temple and obtain the necessary knowledge to be able to progress. The white curtain that can be seen behind Jesus Christ represents the veil drawn as a result of the knowledge obtained in the temple.

Wheat and tares are also present along the way, in gold and yellow, representing all the people of the world, without distinction of any kind. His hand is outstretched inviting all to come to Him.

" Don't give up, I'm with you "

The piece of art  is a modern depiction of how people seek Christ. The woman, being on her knees, represents the weight of adversity and the sadness that it entails. The Lord, in his infinite mercy, extends his hand to help her get up and move on. The steps represent progress in earthly life and the pillars, the principles and ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The large gray circle represents our life on earth and the small white circle represents where God lives and the distance between them is the path we must travel to reach his presence. The flowers represent the blessings that come by the grace of God, as explained in Luke 12:27 “Consider the lilies how they grow:  they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not  arrayed like one of these.”
